Riverina Business Clinic
Small businesses across the Riverina will have the opportunity to participate in a unique new program as a result of funding provided to O'Halloran Deal Lawyers through the Australian Government's Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business (BESB) Program.
The Riverina Business Clinic will assist the owners and managers of small businesses to recognise and consider the legal implications of the decisions they make. The Clinic aims to build the capacity of small business people to consider their operations from a legal perspective through the delivery of a three step program that encompasses business diagnosis, active learning workshops and mentoring.
Businesses that sign up for the project will receive an initial 2-3 hour personal interview with a practising lawyer at their place of business. The business diagnostic interview will assist the business person to identify the areas of their business that need to be addressed from a legal viewpoint.
After completing the diagnostic phase, participating businesses will be invited to attend up to four active learning workshops which will be held in either Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Leeton, Cootamundra, Temora or Tumut. Each workshop will cover one of twelve identified key business performance areas which include contracts, succession planning, employment, e-commerce, corporate compliance, debt and credit management, environmental and planning compliance and financial management.
After completing the training business people will be mentored for up to four months to provide guidance on implementing actions they have identified through the diagnostic and training sessions.
Businesses wishing to register their interest in participating in The Riverina Business Clinic should phone 1800 623787 or visit the website at www.riverinabusinessclinic.com.au.
